Tamil Nadu Ex-Servicemen’s Corporation Limited (TEXCO) was established in the year 1986 under the Companies Act, 1956 to provide reemployment opportunities to the Ex-Servicemen and to implement various Welfare Schemes to improve the living standard of Ex-Servicemen belonging to Tamil Nadu.
TEXCO functions as a “Manpower Agency” by deploying the Ex-Servicemen who have registered for employment in the Directorate of Ex-Servicemen Welfare on contract basis in the Union and State Government Establishments, Public Sector Undertakings, Private Institutions catering to the demand and based on the request received from the clients as Project Officers, Assistant Security Officer, and Gunman Crew etc.

Memorandum of Association of TEXCO has been certified by the Registrar of Companies in No. 12609 of 1986 on 28.01.1986.
In Para III(a)(1) of the Memorandum of Association of TEXCO, the main objects to be pursued by the company on its incorporation are defined below.
Ex-Servicemen Support
To serve as a support organization for the Ex-Servicemen belonging to Tamil Nadu (hereinafter referred to as the Ex-Servicemen and their dependents), assisting them to transition seamlessly into civilian careers by leveraging their career and experience — through planning, formulating, securing of financial assistance, commencement and conduct of various business enterprises, and in establishing them for the resettlement/rehabilitation of Ex-Servicemen.
